Here’s 4 things I learned from this scripture
1. A spiritual possession is not a physical or an earthly possession. There is a waiting period, a watching season and defending time before you can possess your possessions. Your marriage is a divine seed that goes through this periods too.
2. It’s OK to ask God for assurance and clarifications. Some of us think is demeaning to God. You can ask God questions about your marriage, your spouse and your children. Abraham did and he got assurance too.
3. You’ve got to watch your sacrifice, your seeds and your offerings to God. Don’t just sow it and forget it. Don’t go through wedding and relax and never let your guard down from protecting your marriage.
4. Expect the birds to attempt to take your sacrifice, your seed and/or your offering to God. “Birds?” These are the same “birds” in the parable of the sower that devoured the sower’s seed? Matt 13:4. Your marriage is a target for the birds. They come in mini skirts, 6 pack muscles, flashy cars, torns of money. The come through the social media, your workplace, television, on the road and at home.
There is deffinitely more to them “birds” than meets your eyes.
