1. Invest in Other Marriages
There is no other better way of ensuring stability and success in your marriage than to invest in other people’s marriage. It is a universal principle that works for Christians and none Christians. Service to others is service to you. Pray for other couples, give them a book on marriage, take them out for lunch or dinner, invite them to programs and resources that will help them in their marriage. During our conference in South Africa a young man asked me why my wife and I are investing so much into the marriage of people we “don’t even not know” I told him that we are simply doing what God called us to do and by so doing we are ensuring that our marriage and our children’s marriage will always be blessed.https://twogetherforever.org/2inlove-store
2. Rejoice With Those Who Are Rejoicing
If you are single and waiting for your Mr. or Mrs. Right, be happy for those who have found their spouse. Celebrate those who are doing well in their marriage. I know a single lady who bought several wedding gowns in preparation for her own wedding even though she did not have a boyfriend or a suitor at that time. When this lady heard that a young immigrant couple desired to get married but could not afford a wedding gown she willingly gave one of her wedding gowns to the bride. Soon after she gave out the wedding gown, a man relocated from a different city and proposed to her.
3. Invest In Yourself.
Proverbs 1:32, “Indeed, the waywardness of the naive will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them”. Nothing is more important in marriage than knowledge of marriage because God, the maker of marriage laid down the blueprint for marriage. What you know about marriage will set you free from the challenges in marriage and what you don’t know about marriage can destroy your marriage.
