The word victory means the act of defeating an enemy or opponent. The word victory implies that there is war or battle going on. Without war or struggle there will be no victory.
- Understand that you are in a battle
How do we know that we are in a battle? We know this because the Commander in Chief of heaven’s army, Our Living God told us so.
John 16:33 says “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
- Declare a State of Emergency.
It calls for vigilance and alertness. Things might have to be arranged and rearranged to accommodate the current situation. Understand that you are not alone in this battle.
8Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9
- Understand Your Commander In Chief and His Strategies of War.
- Know the Word: The strategies of war from your Commander in Chief are all enshrined in the bible. Even Jesus when He was in the battle front with the enemy, invoked the scriptures. Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.'” Matthew 4:7
- Refuse to fear: “When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!” Duet. 20:1
- Victory belongs to God: Jesus has already fought the battle and given us victory. Start from victory and work your way to the Battle. He call those things which be not as if they were. “As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Roman 4:7.
- Understand the enemy’s strategy
He is angry and uses manipulation and intimidation as his strategies. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
He is invisible or deceptive: So understand this, the battle is not against any human that you can see, touch or feel. The battle is spiritual. Your spouse, co-worker, church member or neighbor is not your enemy. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6: 12-13
- Have an Open Communication with the Commander in Chief.
In war information is priceless. Governments and authorities pay a lot of money to obtain it. (Drones, espionage, spies, mules, satellites) The right information gives us a tactical advantage over our enemies. Information changes all the time. “The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to hear as the learned.” Isaiah 50:4
- Follow the instructions from the Commander in Chief.
Spiritual battle strategy 101, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28
“The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient Nor did I turn back.” Isaiah 50:4
- Celebrate Your Victories.
Your Victories are your testimonies and matrix. If you are still alive you can give thanks. “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57
